The announcement text: This is a key delivery role. Working with his three regional project managers the Implementation Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of this programme. Based in the Programme Office the Implementation Manager will have overall command of and responsibly for all the resources (internal and third party contractor) engaged in the role out of 450 individual networks across the UK and NI as well as over 100 Afloat platforms.

Applicants should have over 15 years in Network and Communications arena with 5+ yrs in a senior management role. MOD experience is a distinct advantage. Candidates must have a proven track record of delivering multiple Network and Communications projects to MOD and other Central Government Departments within time scales and budgets.

Prerequisites : MOD clearance of SC or ability to obtain clearance within six months.
In depth knowledge of MOD working practices.
JSP480 & JSP440, CIDA & rules.
Proven track record of delivering major network programmes.
Ability to work on own initiative while still working within a team.
Ability to drive through issues and deliver a successful programme.
Excellent inter-personal skills.
Dynamic approach to issues and problem resolution.
Excellent negotiating skills.
Practical working knowledge of Project Management methods and practices such as PRINCE II.
Experience of working with cost models.
